Singapore Slammers:

The Singapore Slammers stands for the spirit of our island nation. A team built on grit, determination and hard work just like flag bearer and the men's world number one Novak Djokovic.

A team that's looking to prove a point in the second edition of the International Premier Tennis League.

As it shapes up to make history as we know it will, we're inviting you to get behind your team and become a part of #SlammersNation.

Franchise:

Recently acquired by Singapore based UD Group, the Singapore Slammers are the island nation's very own team. In the spirit of oneness with Singapore, the Junior Slammers program will soon be rolled out by the team owners to help create some home grown Slammers of the future.

The League:

The International Premier Tennis League also provides a great platform to some of the stars of tomorrow including the likes of Slammer Nick Kyrgios. The star studded league features over 30 players including current grand slam champions as well as legends of the game from Novak Djokovic to Roger Federer, from Maria Sharapova to Serena Williams and from Sania Mirza to Leander Paes.

The Team:

They will all be under one roof from the 18th to the 20th of December in this exciting, fast paced league. You get the chance to see men's and women's singles, men's and mixed doubles and a men's legend's singles all in the course of one weekend.

The Game:

With a format that does it all it can to #BreakTheCode we promise you some high decibel, high octane, high energy tennis all weekend long. Played over five sets in which two each member of the two teams face-off expect some exciting twists in the game. Innovations like the shot clock as well as the scoring system where games are played to just four points, with power points thrown into the mix, makes this a very unique sporting spectacle.

The Fans:

You now have a chance to get really up close to the action by choosing some incredible seats - go court side to hear the thrum of the ball hitting the guts or choose to entertain a large group of guests and friends in real style with some great hospitality in our corporate boxes.

General Rules & Regulations

All matches in the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) conform to the ‘rules of tennis’ and ‘code of conduct’ laid down by the International Tennis Federation.

The IPTL, sanctioned by the Asian Tennis Federation, will take place across each of the five franchise countries.

The team with the most wins throughout the league is declared champion. In the event that two or more teams share the highest points on the final tally, the criteria to decide the champion is specified under ‘league winner’ below.

League champions will receive the IPTL challenge trophy in Singapore, on 20 December 2015, along with a grand prize of
USD $1,000,000

Team Roster

The Format
Competition Format
  • Five (5) sets
  • Each set is played first to six (6) games with a 5 minute Shoot-out at 5-all.
  • No-ad scoring applies for each game and each game won counts as one (1) point for the team's total.
Match Format
  • Each match features five (5) sets:
    • Men’s Singles
    • Women's Singles
    • Mixed Doubles
    • Men’s Doubles
    • Men’s Legends Singles
  • The order of play is to be decided by the home team, the team line-up is given to the umpire 45 minutes before the match starts.
Match Winner
  • The team that wins the most games, accumulated from all five sets, wins the match. If the match is tied after five sets, a Super Shoot-out determines the match winner.
  • The team that wins a match receives 4 points.
League Winner
  • The team with the most points wins the league.
